About Us

About Us
Well, to be honest, this page is currently "about me" as Banjara Imports is at present a one-woman show. I do most of it, from the buying and selling, to the accounting and graphic design.

What drives the company

A commitment to high quality wholesale products at the most reasonable possible price is my basic business philosophy. I aim to carry unique and richly inspiring treasures that delight the intellect and the senses. This is in conjunction with friendly, personable and prompt service to help you run your business optimally. I do my best to ensure that I practice fair and ethical business practices, favoring suppliers whom I think treat their workers well.

Banjara Imports policies
I have a $200 minimum order. We accept payment through Paypal, or else goods will be sent by C.O.D. within Canada. Goods may be returned due to the following reasons up to two weeks from receiving the parcel: damaged or broken in shipping, not as advertised or expected.

Shipping is free anywhere in North America on orders of $1000 or more.

All of my jewelry is 92.5% sterling silver unless otherwise stated. Stones used are genuine semi-precious. I guarantee the workmanship of my jewelry and in the unlikely event that you experience any problems or breakage I will provide a full refund with proof of purchase, no questions asked.

People
My name is Jasmine Lysenko. I bring a rich and experienced background to the business. I grew up in Goa, India and my parents have collected and sold tribal textiles from Karnataka for over 20 years. This is where the name Banjara comes from, literally translated it means "wanderer of the forest" and it is a word used to describe the many various tribal groups in north and central India.

I bring my own art background to the business as well and am involved in much of the jewelry design work. As you can see in the pages of this website, I am also an aspiring hand model. I am married and live with my husband, Danaraj, in Nelson, B.C. where I enjoy hiking in the mountains, gardening, edible wild plants, yoga and the company of good friends.

Many of you have met Roslin. She is my trusty assistant and brings to the business years of driving experience as well as excellent organizational skills and an eye for detail. Roslin is a multi-media mandala artist and is a partner in a visuals business. Among some of her projects are Mandala stickers which are carried by Banjara Imports.
